Alexander Varfolomeev was born June 4th, 1965 in Mukhorshibir
(Buryatia) .
After graduating in 1982 Mukhorshibir school he entered the
Irkutsk State University and received his degree "Journalist" and
started his career in his native region, working as a
journalist in the newspaper "Lenin's Path."
- From 1988 to 1991, first secretary of the regional committee of
Komsomol , elected member of the District Party Committee
Office
- From 1991 till 1994 the second secretary of the Buryat Republican
Committee of the Russian Union of Youth
- Since January 1994- the assistant deputy of the Federation
Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Lydia Nimaeva
- From July 1994 till 1997, assistant, first assistant to the
President of the Republic of Buryatia in the rank of Deputy Prime
Minister of the Republic, the assistant deputy of the Federation
Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Leonid Potapov

Alexander Varfolomeev was elected as a deputy of the People's
Khural of the Republic of Buryatia; was a member of the
Committee of the People's Khural of the Republic of Buryatia on
Budget, Taxes and Finance.
He has state and government awards of the Republic of
Buryatia.
Alexander Varfolomeev is a Honored Worker of Culture of the
Republic of Buryatia.
He has a commendation of the President of the Russian Federation
Vladimir Putin.
He has a second degree, graduating in 2000 East-Siberian State
Technological University, specialty "Economics."
Member of the party "United Russia" since 2007, working at the
Presidium of the Buryat regional political council of the regional
branch of the political party "United Russia".
