Founders of the forum believe that by creating an atmosphere of trust, openness and understanding, the Forum will become an influential event between the public, private and non-profit sectors.

The Forum's goal is to facilitate discussion between the legislative and executive branches of regional and federal government with business, non-profit organizations and academic institutions in order to protect the unique environment of Lake Baikal while promoting economic development.
